MARKET ANALYSIS
Look beyond the next candle.
Educational studies in Forex, Gold and cryptoassets. Build context, consider more than one scenario and keep uncertainty visible.

01 / FOREX · EDUCATIONAL STUDY
Read the context before the chart.
A currency pair expresses the value of one currency relative to another. Its movement can reflect changing expectations on both sides of the pair, not just news from one country.
A framework for observation
Identify the next scheduled economic releases and their time zones.
Consider what market participants may already expect. A strong headline can still disappoint expectations.
Observe whether price is trending or ranging over more than one timeframe.
Include the spread, potential slippage and event risk in any practice plan.
Think in scenarios
A breakout can continue, fail or reverse. Write down what evidence would weaken each scenario before seeing the outcome. A chart level is an observation, not an assurance that price will respect it.
Practice prompt: choose a historical economic release and compare the initial price reaction with the session close. Record what was uncertain at the time.
02 / GOLD · EDUCATIONAL STUDY
One market. Multiple drivers.
Gold can be influenced by the US dollar, interest-rate expectations, real yields, investor positioning and demand during periods of uncertainty. Relationships between these factors can change.
Questions worth asking
Is the move specific to gold, or visible across several markets?
Is a scheduled announcement approaching?
Has volatility expanded relative to the period you are studying?
What are the exact contract specifications of the instrument?
Be precise about the instrument
Physical gold, exchange-traded products, futures and CFDs have different costs, exposures and risks. A position-size calculation for one product may be inappropriate for another.
Practice prompt: review a historical gold chart and mark periods of wider price swings. Consider how the same cash risk budget would change the position size at different stop distances.
03 / CRYPTO · EDUCATIONAL STUDY
Volatility deserves a plan.
Cryptoasset markets can trade around the clock and experience sharp price movements. Market liquidity, custody arrangements and platform reliability all matter, alongside the price chart.
Understand the wider risks
Liquidity can vary substantially between assets and trading venues.
A stop order may execute far from the chosen level, or not as expected.
Custody failures, fraud and loss of private keys can cause permanent loss.
Access to protections and complaint routes depends on the service and jurisdiction.
Keep the example separate from a decision
An educational chart does not establish that an asset is suitable for you. You could lose all the money committed to a cryptoasset. This study does not recommend an asset, platform or transaction.
Practice prompt: list the non-price risks of a hypothetical digital asset before looking at its historical returns.
